Greet

Greet is a small area of housing about a mile north of Winchcombe, in north Gloucestershire.

As well as the original village centre, around Market Lane, it also includes the small hamlet of Littleworth, and several dozen newer houses along the road towards Winchcombe Pottery .  It has a pub, the Harvest Home, and a railway station ('Winchcombe') on the reopened Gloucestershire & Warwickshire Railway.

The area is part of Winchcombe Parish.  With no church of its own (no trace remains of a small chapel which was on Market Lane several centuries ago), its nearest churches are St Peter's Winchcombe and Christ Church, Gretton.  In addition, worship services are held three or four times a year in the 'Harvest Home' pub.
